Diesel Particulate Filter Claims

Unlock Your Compensation: Jaguar Land Rover Owners, take action now!

Does your Jaguar Land Rover struggle with performance issues? Your Particulate Filter (DPF) might be the culprit. Whether you’ve encountered issues or not, you could be eligible for compensation, claiming up to £16,000 to cover potential increased running costs.

Become part of the multi-million pound group action!

Be part of the movement!  The Federal Court of Australia has already ruled in favour of car owners on this issue, finding the impact on consumers, such as time off the road for repairs and loss of vehicle value had adversely impacted buyers. Defects have been exposed in certain models, including faulty DPF systems, leading to on-road safety hazards and performance glitches. Owners may have faced unexpected servicing costs, and in extreme cases, engine replacements.

Why join the action?

Discover if you’re among the 500,000 new car owners or additional pre-owned car owners eligible to claim. JLG is looking to launch a group litigation action on behalf of affected Jaguar Land Rover customers. Successful claimants could receive between £3,000 and £16,000 each in compensation.

Eligible models include:

  • Land Rover Discovery Sport (L550)
  • Range Rover Evoque (L538 and L551)
  • Jaguar E-Pace (X450)
  • Range Rover (L405)
  • Range Rover Sport (L494)
  • Land Rover Discovery (L462)
  • Jaguar XE (X760)
  • Jaguar XF (X260)
  • Jaguar F-Pace (X761)
  • Land Rover Velar (L560)

What can you claim for?

Reduced Engine Performance: You may have experienced a loss of power or sluggishness due to a blocked DPF.

Poor Fuel Efficiency: Issues with the DPF can cause the engine to have to work harder, leading to an increase in consumption, and thus extra costs.

Warning Lights: If you have a problem with your DPF, the dashboard will usually be the first to notice.

Frequent Regeneration: Problems with your DPF can lead to your car attempting to regenerate the filter more than usual – which in turn leads to an increase in fuel consumption.

Engine Damage: In extreme cases, if your car’s DPF is blocked, this can cause back pressure in the exhaust system which can result in engine damage, which can be a serious expense to the owner.

Forced into ‘Limp Mode’: In some cases, when the DPF issue is severe, some vehicles will go into safety mode (which is also known as ‘limp mode’). When this happens, it can limit the car’s performance to stop any additional damage.

👉 Don’t miss out! Act now to secure your compensation. Join Johnson Law Group’s claim and join the fight for justice alongside thousands of fellow Jaguar Land Rover owners. To find out more, please fill in our contact form (to the right) and we’ll be in touch.

Currently, we are only taking on Jaguar Land Rover enquiries but we would be interested to hear from other vehicle owners who have experienced DPF issues with their car or van.

What is the Volvo Emissions Scandal?

The Emissions Scandal or ‘Dieselgate’ centres around the levels of NOx (Nitrogen oxide) emitted from diesel engines. It is alleged that Volvo, along with a number of other leading car manufacturers, used a ‘cheat device’ in some of their diesel engines which falsely reduced the NOx emissions during testing to meet EU regulatory requirements.

While you may have purchased or leased your car believing it to be more environmentally friendly, once on the road, these cars were anything but. Not only do these levels not comply with EU regulations but increased NOx emissions have been linked to both global warming and health issues, including damage to the lung tissue, breathing and respiratory problems.

Continuing its quest to represent the rights of individual consumers against large corporations that may have wronged them, Johnson Law Group is bringing a group claim against leading vehicle manufacturers over the alleged ‘defeat devices’ installed in diesel engines to cheat the EU emissions tests.
